Our Hope

Many years ago we had analogue telephones of which we popularly called landlines in this part of the countries, I still remember our telephone number 062233270 (Wow! Thumbs up to me). Same periods, we had post offices where letters were written, stamped and sent to the different recipients. Later on in life, my dad brought in a fax machine, it was so exciting to see letters rolled in from another country into ours in the comfort of our homes. Yes, after those periods, there was introduction of emails where we no longer had to pile up papers in the office, my dad replied his mails immediately. It made his works easier. We had analogue typewriters of which you had to eat well before using them and your fingertips will so painful, later we had electric typewriters which was easier to use later on computers came into place. I can go on and on. I still remember how we had to move from one cafe to another looking for how to get connected to the world via the internets. Now we don’t need to...

WHY TEACHERS?

While growing up,  I often gathered children around me to teach them.  As little as I was, I already had the passion for teaching but then when it came to choosing a course in the university, I was so into studying medicine.  My mum constantly told me that my calling was into teaching but i stubbornly kept taking my mind off it but God has a way of doing things. Today I am an educationist and I'm proud to call myself a TEACHER.  Many times, we allow the society to define us but we must take the bull by the horn and begin to define the society.  Yes many people find themselves to be teachers possibly because there was no job to do or what.  Many people are teachers but yet they are grumblers. How do you expect to teach perfectly well and expect your students to learn well when you are constantly complaining. My findings show that 65% of teachers are not happy with the profession. They are not motivated most especially because of the PAY and t...

The Journey into 2020

While preparing for the cross over service,  one of my sons said, "Let's pack all our things,  our bags, our beds and everything since we are coming back next year." We all laughed but then few days back i began to think about the journey into 2020. Yes,  2019 is a year that has gone forever,  it's a year no one will ever experience.  The Story of 2019 has been written and possibly engraved in the sand of time.  Yes,  so many successes and failures undoubtedly were recorded but then they are all past. What are the bags, beds and other things you packed into 2020. Yes,  all i want to make you understand is that God is making 2020 a year with great differences.   Forget; - The goals you couldn't meet  - The successes you made - The failures you recorded - The pains you went through - The dreams that didn't come to pass All you need to do this year; - Put your eyes more on God - Avoid undue familiarity...

Miracles still happen

Few days to Christmas,  our son had a tummy ache and the right side of the guys tummy was very hard and painful.  We were told to do a scan,  the results of the scan showed that he had a little kidney stone. We were a little worried and we took up the case to God. We saw the doctor and the doctor said we should repeat the scan. A day after Christmas, we went for the scan and the result showed there was no Kidney stone. Infact, the sonographer kept checking and asking what was wrong with the boy cause he's not seeing anything. The kidney stone is no where to be found. Jesus is Lord. He did what no man did. Miracles are happening, just put your trust in God. He will do what is impossible. There is a Balm in Gilead and a Physician too. Welcome to year 2020, a year where all things will be made beautiful for you all. You are blessed. JOA Cares
