Don't Give Up

I started writing as far back as 1997 and at that time, I'll happily walk into my Dad's office to show him my write-ups and one day after reading one of my write-ups, he looked at me and then said someday you will be a writer.  These words sunk deep into me but then I didn't know how it was going to be. With the help of My Mum and dad,  I kept writing my poems.  I remembered those days when all roads led to cafe to browse cause mobile phones were scarce then,  my parents would give me money to browse and then while playing around I bump into international library of poetry. At that time,  they were into poetry competition so I reluctantly sent in my poems to them so after some months I got a letter from them through post office that I was selected to be given Editors Choice Award. I was very shocked but gave God thanks. The award was given to me in 2002. To the glory of God,  my poem was published alongside thousands of poets all over the world in the collection of poems titled,  'Silent Solitude.' I kept writing and keeping archives,  but I didn't know what to do with them.  I had over 70poems then, i was encouraged to put them in form of a book so with the support of my parents and siblings I published my first book in 2004. After that I kept writing and then kept them in my archives.
Suddenly, the challenges Of Life caught up with me,  I got discouraged and then stopped writing for almost ten years not until when I was motivated again by God sent. In year 2016, the writing skills became reignited and God showed Mercy on me. And then God showed his favor upon me again in the end of 2018 and first quarter of 2019 when he chose to give me another award.
God moves in mysterious ways. Don't give up on your dreams no matter how insignificant they maybe.

Sometimes you are discouraged by people and other times you are being stopped by yourself. Keep moving on,  you are at the end of the tunnel where a shining light is already waiting for you to light your path.

Some days,  you will see that there's nothing good in you and you'll keep asking yourself what do you have to offer,  don't give up.

I encourage you to keep on pressing on you will rise again no matter how deep you have falling.
You have songs written down and you don't have sponsors, keep writing.

You have lots of art works yet to be recognized, keep drawing.
You have ideas in your head,  keep writing them down.
You have articles written and no money to get them published, keep writing.
You have lots of architectural designs you've drawn and no one is ready to patronize you,  keep drawing them.
You've written and submitted lots of proposals, keep doing it.
You've tried many exams and failed, don't give up.
You have applied for so many jobs and no one has recruited you,  keep applying.
There's always something good about who you are and what you carry.

We are not giving up cause our stories will be heard. We've been through a lot but we are in to shock the world about the wonders of God in our lives.

  1. I agree, "a shinin light is already waiting for you to light your path" because the path of the upright is like the first gleam of the sun, shining ever brightly until the break of day!! (Prov. 4:18)
Keep on shining Dear! Your light will never dim!!

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
