Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today.

We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd.

Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe.

Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe.

Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us.

Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don’t know which way to turn, and fear tries to take over. But Psalm 23:4 reminds us, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.” The Shepherd never abandons His sheep. Even in hard times, He is near.

Isaiah 40:11 also says, “He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom.” What a picture of care! He doesn’t just lead us; He carries us when we are too weak to walk.

So today, rest your heart in this truth: You are not walking alone. The Shepherd is leading you. He knows the best path for you, even when you cannot see it. Trust His voice. Follow His Word. He will never lead you astray.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being my Shepherd. Lead me in the right path, protect me from harm, and carry me when I am weak. Help me to trust Your voice above every other. Amen.

Life Application:

Take a moment today to read Psalm 23 slowly. Write down one verse that speaks to your heart and keep it with you. Each time you feel lost or afraid, whisper: “The Lord is my Shepherd. I will not want.”

My hands in yours.

Tons of Love

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
