Day 13 of 30: The Lord is My Friend

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!!

Hallelujah!!!

Reflection: He calls me His own and walks with me.

Verse: “I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” – John 15:15

This journey “The Lord is Enough for Me” has been so refreshing. Every day, God shows us a new part of His heart.

On Day 1, we saw Him as our Portion.

On Day 2, He became our Provider.

On Day 3, He was our Shepherd.

On Day 4, He was our Strength.

On Day 5, He gave us Peace.

On Day 6, He became our Healer.

On Day 7, He was our Helper.

On Day 8, He became our Refuge.

On Day 9, He was our Rock.

On Day 10, He comforted us as our Comforter.

On Day 11, He was our Light.

On Day 12, He became our Redeemer.

And today, Day 13 reminds us: The Lord is my Friend.

Think about friendship for a moment. A true friend listens, cares, and never leaves your side. They share in your joy and hold you in your pain. That is exactly what Jesus does—but even more. He is not just a friend for good times; He is a friend who stays close in every season.

Jesus told His disciples, “I have called you friends.” That is powerful. The King of kings, the Savior of the world, is not too big to call us His friends. He knows our weaknesses, yet He chooses us. He knows our struggles, yet He walks with us. He does not hide His love or His heart; instead, He shares it freely with us.

Sometimes people disappoint us. Even those we thought were closest may walk away. But Jesus is the friend who never leaves. He walks with us when the crowd disappears. He speaks peace into our lonely nights. He holds our hands when no one else understands.

Life Application

Today, pause and think: Do you see Jesus as your Friend? Talk to Him like you would talk to your closest friend. Share your secrets, your fears, your hopes, and your dreams. He is not far away; He is right beside you.

Also, be the kind of friend to others that Jesus is to you—loving, faithful, and kind. Let His friendship shape how you care for people.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, thank You for calling me Your friend. Thank You for walking with me in joy and in pain. Help me to grow closer to You and to never take Your friendship for granted. Teach me to also be a true friend to others, reflecting Your love in my relationships. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
