Day 18 of 30: The Lord is My Song

Thank you Jesus!

Thank you Jesus!

Reflection: He gives me joy and a reason to sing.

Verse: The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. – Exodus 15:2

This 30 Days Jesus is Enough for Us journey keeps opening our eyes to who God is. We have seen Him as our Portion, Provider, Shepherd, Strength, Peace, Healer, Helper, Refuge, Rock, Comforter, Light, Redeemer, Friend, Hope, Rest, Father, and Shield.

Now, on Day 18, we discover something so beautiful: The Lord is our Song.

Music has a way of touching the deepest parts of our hearts. Songs rise from joy, from pain, from victory, and even from tears. For Israel, after God parted the Red Sea and defeated their enemies, they could not keep quiet. They lifted their voices and sang: *“The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.”*

A song is not just words. It is a testimony. It is a melody that carries the story of God’s goodness. When the Lord becomes our Song, it means our life is filled with a sound that points back to Him.

Sometimes, life tries to steal our song. Hard times bring silence. Pain makes us lose our words. Disappointment quiets our joy. But when God is our Song, nothing can silence us. Even in tears, there is a melody. Even in weakness, there is a tune of hope. Even in loss, there is a whisper of praise.

Life Application

Ask yourself today: what song is playing in my heart? Is it a song of fear, complaint, or hopelessness? Or is it the song of the Lord—full of strength, salvation, and joy?

You may not feel like singing, but remember, your song is not in your circumstances—it is in your God. He is your Song when life is sweet and when life is bitter.

Take a moment today to lift a simple song to Him. It does not need to be perfect. Whisper His name. Sing a line of praise. Let your heart carry the melody of gratitude. Let your life sing that He is enough.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being my Song. When life tries to silence me, You give me a melody of joy and hope. Teach me to sing even in hard times. Let my life always carry a sound of praise that glorifies You. Be my Song today and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
