Day 8 of 30: The Lord is My Refuge

Greetings to you Beloved of God.

Today is bright and beautiful.

Our journey has been beautiful so far.

Day 1 – The Lord is my Portion.

Day 2 – The Lord is my Provider.

Day 3 – The Lord is my Shepherd.

Day 4 – The Lord is my Strength.

Day 5 – The Lord is my Peace.

Day 6 – The Lord is my Healer.

Day 7 – The Lord is my Helper.

And today, Day 8, I must say this journey has taken another dimension for me. I feel a deeper connection with God as each day reveals more of who He is to me.

Today’s truth is this: The Lord is my Refuge.

Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

A refuge is a safe place—a hiding place when danger is near. The world can often feel unsafe. We see pain, fear, and uncertainty all around us. Sometimes our hearts also feel heavy, as if there is no place to run. But the good news is this: God Himself is our refuge.

When storms of life beat hard, He becomes our shelter. When fear tries to control us, He covers us under His wings. When enemies rise against us, He stands as our strong tower. In Him, we find a safety that nothing else can give.

Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” This is more than poetry—it is a real truth. Every time you call on His name, you are running into that tower of safety.

Being in God’s refuge doesn’t always mean the storm disappears right away. Sometimes the storm keeps raging outside, but inside His refuge, you find peace, calm, and courage to keep going. That is the beauty of God as our hiding place.

So when the world feels unsafe, don’t panic. Don’t run in circles looking for man-made safety. Instead, run into the arms of God. His presence is your secure place. His love is your shield. His Word is your covering.

While putting these words together, this song came deep to me;

By Selah

You are my hiding place

You always fill my heart

With songs of deliverance

Whenever I am afraid

I will trust in You

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being my Refuge. When life feels unsafe, hide me under Your wings. Help me to always run to You first and rest in Your protection. Amen.

Life Application:

Whenever you feel unsafe or anxious today, pause and say, “Lord, You are my Refuge.” Let that truth quiet your heart and remind you that you are never without a hiding place in Him.

Tons of Love

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
