Day 15 of 30: The Lord is My Rest

Blessed be the name of the Lord!

We are half way gone. This can only be God.

Reflection: I find quietness in His presence.

Verse: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. – Matthew 11:28–29

This journey of 30 Days Jesus is Enough for Me has been beautiful and healing. Each day we see a new part of God’s heart for us.

On Day 1, He was our Portion—our true inheritance.

On Day 2, He became our Provider—meeting every need.

On Day 3, He led us gently as our Shepherd.

On Day 4, He carried us as our Strength.

On Day 5, He stilled the storms as our Peace.

On Day 6, He healed us, proving He is our Healer.

On Day 7, He helped us, for He is our Helper.

On Day 8, He hid us in safety as our Refuge.

On Day 9, He stood firm as our Rock.

On Day 10, He drew near as our Comforter.

On Day 11, He shined bright as our Light.

On Day 12, He redeemed us as our Redeemer.

On Day 13, He drew close as our Friend.

On Day 14, He filled us with expectation as our Hope.

And today, on Day 15, we find Him as our Rest.

Rest is one of the sweetest gifts God gives. Life is full of running, carrying, and struggling. Many times, it feels like we are dragging heavy loads. But Jesus whispers gently: “Come to Me, I will give you rest.”

This rest is not just about sleep. It is a calm spirit, a peaceful heart, a quiet soul. It is freedom from worry and fear. It is strength that comes from knowing you are safe in His arms.

Think about it—He does not tell you to first fix your life before coming. He says, “Come as you are, with your burdens.” That is love. That is grace.

 Life Application

Take a pause today. Breathe deeply. Place your hand on your heart and say: “Jesus is my Rest.” Give Him that worry that keeps you up at night. Let Him carry what you cannot carry. Make room for quietness with Him and watch how peace fills you.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for being my Rest. I bring every weight, every fear, and every burden before You. Quiet my heart and give me Your peace. Teach me to lean on You daily and to walk in the calm of Your presence. In You, I am safe, I am whole, and I am at rest. Amen.

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
