Day 25 of 30: The Lord is My Anchor

Beloved,

Everyday gets better

Reflection: He holds me steady in every storm.
Verse: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil. – Hebrews 6:19

Our journey of 30 Days Jesus is Enough for Us has been full of deep reminders. From Day 1 as our Portion, to Day 24 as our Potter, each step has shown us who God is and what He means to us.

Today, Day 25, He reveals Himself as our Anchor.

Think about a ship on the sea. When the waves rise and the wind blows strong, the ship can easily be tossed around. But when the anchor is dropped deep into the ground beneath the water, the ship holds steady. It may shake, but it will not drift away. That is what Jesus is to us—our Anchor.

Life comes with storms. Some storms are sudden—bad news, loss, delays, disappointments. Some storms are quiet but strong—fear, doubt, loneliness. Without an anchor, we would drift, break, or lose our way. But with Jesus as our Anchor, we are held steady.

The writer of Hebrews says this hope is sure and steadfast. That means our hope in Christ does not fail. People may change, money may disappear, feelings may rise and fall, but Jesus never changes. His Word never shakes. His love never lets go.

Life Application

Are you in a storm right now? Instead of letting the waves push you, hold on to your Anchor. Whisper His promises. Stand firm in His Word. Remind yourself: “This storm will pass, but my Anchor is forever.”

Do not let fear or doubt make you drift. Keep your soul tied to Jesus. He will hold you when nothing else can.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for being my Anchor. Thank You that when storms come, I am not carried away. Help me to trust You more than the waves, to hold on to Your Word when everything else shakes. Keep me steady, Lord, and let my hope in You never fail. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
