Day 23 of 30: The Lord is My Banner

Today is Glorious.

Glory

Reflection: His victory waves over my life.

Verse: And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi: The Lord is my banner. – Exodus 17:15

Life can feel like a constant battle. There are challenges that press in from every side—difficult relationships, hard days, fears, disappointments, and struggles we never expected. In the middle of it all, it is easy to feel defeated, lost, or overwhelmed. But God reminds us today: He is our Banner.

A banner is a symbol of victory, a flag lifted high for all to see. When Moses built an altar and called it Jehovah-nissi, he was declaring that God had won the battle for His people. That same God raises His banner over us. No matter what we face, His victory waves over our lives.

What does it mean to have God as our Banner? It means we are never truly defeated. It means that even when life seems to crush us, we have a visible sign of hope—God’s victory. It reminds us to lift our eyes above the storm, to focus not on the problem but on the Power that fights for us.

When fear or worry tries to whisper that we will fail, remember the banner is still waving. When doubt tries to steal our joy, the banner still rises. When circumstances seem impossible, the banner is proof that God has already overcome.

Life Application

Today, lift your heart like a banner to God. Let Him remind you that no struggle is too big and no enemy too strong. Write down one area of your life where you need His victory. Every time you see it, remember that God is fighting for you, and His banner is waving triumphantly over that situation.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being my Banner. When life feels hard, remind me that Your victory waves over me. Help me to keep my eyes on You and not on my struggles. Let me walk boldly, knowing that You have already won the battles in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
