Day 28 of 30: The Lord is my Joy

 Wow

28 days already. This can only be God.

Reflection: My happiness doesn’t depend on circumstances, but on Him.
Verse: The joy of the Lord is your strength. – Nehemiah 8:10

We have come so far on this 30-day journey, and today we see God as our Joy. What a gift this is!

Joy is not the same as happiness. Happiness depends on what is happening around us, but joy comes from who God is within us. Happiness can fade when things go wrong, but joy remains steady, because it flows from the Lord Himself.

Think about it: storms may rage, troubles may rise, tears may fall, but there is a joy inside of us that no one can take away. This joy is not built on money, success, or people’s approval. It is built on the unshakable truth that we belong to God and He belongs to us.

When Nehemiah said, “The joy of the Lord is your strength,” it was not because the people had everything figured out. No, they were in a season of rebuilding, facing challenges and enemies. Yet, God reminded them that strength does not come from what they see. It comes from His joy.

This means even in our weakest moments, we can rise because His joy carries us. Even in our darkest nights, we can sing because His joy lights us. Even in pain, we can smile because His joy gives us hope.

Life will not always be easy. There will be times of waiting, seasons of silence, days of confusion. But in all of it, we can lean on the Lord’s joy. It is deeper than laughter. It is stronger than fear. It is brighter than sorrow.

Today, let us choose joy. Not because everything is perfect, but because God is perfect. Not because we know the future, but because we know the One who holds it.

Life Application: Whenever sadness or worry comes, whisper these words: “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” Let this be the song of your heart. Let it rise above your fears.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my Joy. Thank You that no matter what life brings, I can be strong in You. Fill my heart with Your joy today, and let it overflow to everyone around me. Amen.

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
