Day 9 of 30: The Lord is my Rock

Greetings to you Beloved

Today is bright and beautiful.

This journey of “The Lord is Enough for Me” has been so refreshing. Each day, God reveals a new part of His heart to us.

On Day 1, we saw Him as our Portion—our true inheritance.

On Day 2, He was our Provider—meeting every need.

On Day 3, He became our Shepherd—leading us gently.

On Day 4, we leaned on Him as our Strength.

On Day 5, He spoke peace into our storms as our Peace.

On Day 6, He healed us, proving He is our Healer.

On Day 7, we lifted our eyes to Him, our Helper.

On Day 8, we ran into Him as our Refuge.

And now, Day 9 reminds us: The Lord is my Rock.

Life shakes us. Problems appear suddenly, like storms. Relationships may fail. Dreams may collapse. Emotions may overwhelm. In such moments, it feels like everything is slipping away. But here is the truth: God is our Rock—firm, steady, and unshakable.

David declared this when he was surrounded by enemies. He had no safety, yet he could boldly say, “The Lord is my Rock and my fortress.” Why? Because he learned that when all else shakes, God remains firm.

Think of a house. If it is built on sand, the storm washes it away. But if it is built on a rock, it stands strong no matter what (Matthew 7:24–25). That is how it is when we build our lives on Jesus.

Life Application

Where are you standing today? On shifting sand—your feelings, money, or people’s opinions? Or on the Rock—Jesus Christ, who never fails? When everything shakes, don’t panic. Run to Him. Trust His promises. Stand on His Word. Whisper like David: “The Lord is my Rock.”

Today, write down one situation in your life that feels shaky. Place it before God in prayer and declare: “Lord, You are my Rock in this.”

Prayer

Father, thank You for being my Rock—steady, strong, and unshaken. When life feels unstable, help me to stand on You. Teach me not to trust in people or possessions, but in Your unchanging Word. Today, I declare that You are my fortress, my deliverer, and my safe foundation. Even when the world shakes, my life will not crumble, because I am standing on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
