The Journey into 2020

While preparing for the cross over service,  one of my sons said, "Let's pack all our things,  our bags, our beds and everything since we are coming back next year." We all laughed but then few days back i began to think about the journey into 2020.

Yes,  2019 is a year that has gone forever,  it's a year no one will ever experience.  The Story of 2019 has been written and possibly engraved in the sand of time.  Yes,  so many successes and failures undoubtedly were recorded but then they are all past.

What are the bags, beds and other things you packed into 2020. Yes,  all i want to make you understand is that God is making 2020 a year with great differences.

Forget;

- The goals you couldn't meet
- The successes you made
- The failures you recorded
- The pains you went through
- The dreams that didn't come to pass

All you need to do this year;

- Put your eyes more on God
- Avoid undue familiarity with God and man
- Focus on your dreams
- Be God Addicted
- Be Vision Oriented
- Raise your self Esteem

God is set to do wonders this year. To some of you that are already feeling discouraged this year,  brace yourself up,  good things await you this year.

In this Year 2020, it won't be business as usual.

2020 is special because it is:

The 20th year of the 3rd millennium,
The 20th year of the 21st century, and
the 1st year of the 2020s decade.

JOA Cares.

Day 1 of 30: God is My Portion

 A recent song has really hit me, “OLUWATOSIN, JESUS IS ENOUGH FOR ME.” Each time I listen, my heart whispers back, Yes, Lord, You are enough. We live in a world that constantly pushes us to want more—more success, more money, more recognition. But deep down, the only true satisfaction comes from God Himself. That’s why I’m starting this journey: 30 Days of “The Lord is Enough for Me.” Every day we will look at one truth about who God is—our portion, peace, strength, and joy. Come along, and let’s rest in Him together. Day 1: God is My Portion There are times in life when we feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s money, friends, success, or even peace. Sometimes our hearts whisper, “If only I had this or that, then I would be happy.”*But the truth is this—things fade, people change, and life is never perfect. Yet, in the middle of all that, there is one unshakable truth: God is enough. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:24: *“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will ...

Day 3 of 30: The Lord is My Shepherd

Greetings to you Beloved, trust you are doing well today. We began this journey with “The Lord is my portion,” then “The Lord is my provider.” Today, we see another deep truth: The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” What a powerful promise! A shepherd’s job is to guide, feed, and protect the sheep. The sheep do not worry about the path, food, or danger—they only follow the shepherd. In the same way, God leads us, provides for us, and keeps us safe. Sheep cannot survive without a shepherd. They easily get lost, they cannot fight off wild animals, and they cannot find good pasture on their own. That’s exactly why God chose this picture for us. Without Him, we are lost. But with Him, we are safe. Jesus Himself said in John 10:11, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” He not only leads us—He gave His life for us. That is how much He loves us. Sometimes, life feels like walking through a dark valley. We don...

Day 2 of 30: The Lord is My Provider

Beloved, trust you are doing well today.  We started yesterday with, “The Lord is my portion.” Today, we are going a step further: The Lord is my provider. I don't know if you did as I did yesterday, in my prayers throughout yesterday, I kept saying "THE LORD IS MY PORTION." Life can sometimes make us feel worried. The bills pile up, needs keep coming, and dreams feel far away. We wonder, “Will I ever have enough? Who will take care of me?” In the middle of these questions, God’s Word gives us a beautiful promise: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what the verse says—all your need. Not some, not a few, but all. This doesn’t mean God gives us everything we want, but it means He provides exactly what we truly need at the right time. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Think of a little child. A good parent makes sure the child has food, clothes, and shelter. The child doesn’t sit and wo...
