Imagine if we are to pay for our Salvation. How much would we have made?
Ephesians 2: 8 & 9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Saving is all of God's initiative and labour. We simply put our faith in him and let him handle it. It is entirely a gift from God! We don't have the main part. If we did, we would definitely boast about finishing the whole thing! No, we don't create ourselves or save ourselves. God is the one who creates and saves.
If our works or actions were to be yardsticks for our salvation, we would have been far from being saved, cause we will be struggling to be saved.
What if we were to make sacrifices as described in the book of Leviticus? How much sacrifices would we have been able to offer to God.
The Work of Jesus on the cross did so much for us.
As Christians, we need to be intentional about giving God thanks for the salvation of our souls.
